Te Aroha Hutt Valley Association

Based at 148 Whites Line East, Waiwhetu, Lower Hutt, Te Aroha Hutt Valley Association is a warm and inviting establishment, warmly referred to simply as TA by the members and regulars.

Te Aroha Association was established in 1937 to foster rugby, rugby league, cricket, tennis, hockey, basketball and cultural groups. The makeup of the sports affiliated to the Association over the years has changed. Today softball is predominant with many of the players coming through the club being selected to represent New Zealand. Other sports supported through the association include handball, Rugby League, rugby, cricket and netball. Card games and tournaments are regularly held for kaumatua and kuia.

Ever since then, this ode to togetherness and harmony has been sung and maintained by members throughout the years. 1973 marked a remarkable year for the club because that’s when the new clubrooms were constructed. They were built with the support of local families, the cricket club and neighboring sports clubs.

One of the unique characteristics of Te Aroha Hutt Valley Association is that it can be hired. The complex can be hired for activities such as conferences, team building and training. The club is ideal for these activities because it is situated in a serene area which has manicured gardens and a cool atmosphere. Furthermore, it is fully furnished for these activities and has a capacity of 200 people.

Catering is normally provided by the club. However, you are free to bring your own food. Tea and coffee and freely available on request for your guests.
